Agent Feed

Docs

Agent Feed turns what your coding agent did into a short narrated video you can watch on your phone, and carries your feedback back to the session that made it. Here's how to set it up, every agentfeed command, and answers to common questions.

Getting started

Install the plugin

You need a Mac with Homebrew, and Claude Code or Codex signed in on it. During the private beta, the repository opens with your invitation.

brew install ffmpeg cairo pkgconf
git clone https://github.com/Agent-Feed/agentfeed.git ~/agentfeed
~/agentfeed/plugin/skills/agentfeed-video/scripts/agentfeed setup --link

setup --link installs the skill for both Claude Code and Codex, and puts the agentfeed command, which the next steps use, in ~/.local/bin.

If you only use Claude Code, its plugin manager works too:

/plugin marketplace add Agent-Feed/agentfeed
/plugin install agentfeed@agentfeed

That copy doesn't add agentfeed to your terminal: ask Claude to set up Agent Feed, and to run the commands below for you.

Set up

agentfeed setup checks ffmpeg and cairo and builds the toolkit's own Python, with Manim, in ~/.agentfeed/venv. The narration is Seth's voice, from ElevenLabs: to use your own ElevenLabs account, store its API key in the macOS Keychain (you're asked for it; it's never shown). Without a key, a linked Mac narrates with Agent Feed voice, the same voice hosted by us (in beta).

agentfeed setup --key # optional: your own ElevenLabs key
agentfeed doctor

agentfeed doctor checks everything, and says which voice narration will use.

Link your Mac

Run agentfeed login. It shows a code and opens agentfeed.com/link: sign in with your phone number, check the code matches, and approve. From then on, each video gets an agentfeed.com link, and your feedback can reach this Mac. Without linking, videos stay on your Mac.

Make a video

Ask your agent, in Claude Code or Codex:

Make an Agent Feed video explaining what you just changed.

It writes a short brief, starts a worker in the background, and replies with the video's link right away, then gets on with your work. Open the link to watch the video being built. When it's ready, usually 15 to 30 minutes later, “Video ready” arrives in the same session. You can also start one yourself:

agentfeed make --brief "How the new cache works" --project .

Get the iPhone app

During the beta, Agent Feed for iPhone comes through TestFlight: open your invitation on your iPhone. Sign in with the same phone number, and your videos are in your feed. You get a notification when one is ready.

Give feedback from your phone

While one of your videos plays, tap the mic to say what you think at that moment, or type it. Swipe right to approve it. You can comment on the video's web page too. Your feedback goes to the agent session that made the video, so the agent can answer it, or fix things and make a new version.

Your Mac delivers it with agentfeed serve, which Agent Feed for Mac runs for you whenever you're logged in. To turn it on from a terminal (it opens the app):

agentfeed serve --install

Without the app, keep agentfeed serve running in a terminal. It steps aside by itself when the app starts delivering.

An open session gets your feedback right away. A closed Claude Code session gets it in a background turn, and Codex through its queue. The agent answers with agentfeed reply, which you read under your comment, or makes version 2 with agentfeed make --revise.

Share a video

Videos start private: only you can watch them, signed in. To share one, tap Share in the app or on its web page, or run agentfeed share job_…. Anyone with the link can then watch it, without signing in. agentfeed make --share makes a video that's shared from the start. Stop sharing (or agentfeed share job_… --stop) makes it private again.

Command reference

Everything the agentfeed command does. JOB is a video's job folder (new and make print it); job_… is a video's ID.

agentfeed setup

agentfeed setup [--key] [--link] [--command]

Checks ffmpeg and cairo and creates the toolkit's own Python (Manim and the voice analysis) in ~/.agentfeed/venv.

--key
Store your ElevenLabs API key in the macOS Keychain (prompted, never echoed).
--link
Install the skill for Claude Code and Codex, and the agentfeed command in ~/.local/bin.
--command
Only the agentfeed command in ~/.local/bin: for the plugin installed from a marketplace, which already gives Claude Code or Codex the skill.

agentfeed login

agentfeed login [--no-browser]

Links this Mac to your Agent Feed account: it shows a code, opens agentfeed.com/link, and keeps the device token in the Keychain. Linked Macs give every video a link.

--no-browser
Print the link instead of opening the browser.

agentfeed logout

agentfeed logout

Forgets this Mac's link (the Keychain token and ~/.agentfeed/device.json).

agentfeed make

agentfeed make --brief TEXT|@FILE [--project DIR] [--title T] [--worker auto|claude|codex] [--revise JOB] [--share]

Background mode, what agents run: prints the video's link at once, starts a worker that makes the video, and returns. The session gets “Video ready” when it's done (usually 15–30 minutes).

--brief
What the video should explain: text, or @path/to/brief.md.
--project
The project folder the video is about (default: the current folder).
--title
The video's title (default: the brief's first line).
--worker
Which agent makes it: auto (the one that asked), claude or codex. By default, the one chosen in Agent Feed for Mac.
--revise
The video this one revises (job_… or its job folder): the new one is its next version.
--share
Anyone with the link can watch it (videos start private).

agentfeed make --example

agentfeed make --example NAME [--project DIR] [--share]

A bundled example whose storyboard and scene are already written, such as welcome: it's only narrated (with your voice choice), rendered and checked, so it takes minutes and no agent writes anything. Agent Feed for Mac makes your first video this way.

--example
The example's name, e.g. welcome.
--project
The folder the video belongs to (default: the current folder).
--share
Anyone with the link can watch it (videos start private).

agentfeed share

agentfeed share job_...|JOB [--stop]

Makes a video's link watchable by anyone who has it, and prints the link.

--stop
Make it private again: only you can watch it.

agentfeed delete

agentfeed delete job_...|JOB [--yes] [--json]

Deletes a video from your Agent Feed account, from this Mac: its link stops working, and its comments go too. The video's folder on this Mac stays. At a terminal it asks first.

--yes
Don't ask first: for an agent or a script deleting it on your word.
--json
Print the outcome as JSON (what Agent Feed for Mac reads).

agentfeed videos

agentfeed videos [--json] [--limit N]

Your Agent Feed account's videos, newest first, including ones made on other Macs or in the cloud, and whether each was approved. Agent Feed for Mac reads this to show your whole history.

--json
Print JSON, the API's own shape (what Agent Feed for Mac reads).
--limit
At most this many videos (1–500, default 50).

agentfeed video

agentfeed video job_...|JOB [--json]

One video: its link, state, length and voice score, your comments with what happened to each and the agent's replies, and its build steps.

--json
Print JSON: the video, its comments and its build events.

agentfeed status

agentfeed status [JOB]

Your background jobs, their state and their links; for one job, also what it cost to make.

agentfeed serve

agentfeed serve [--once] [--wait S]

Delivers feedback and approvals from the Agent Feed app into the agent session that made each video: its inbox when it's open, a background turn when it's closed, codex queue for Codex. Runs until stopped. Agent Feed for Mac runs it for you; while the app delivers, this says so and stops.

--once
Check the inbox once (waits for the background turns it starts).
--wait
Seconds each poll may wait for new feedback (0–25).

agentfeed serve --install

agentfeed serve --install|--uninstall|--status

Feedback delivery in the background, which Agent Feed for Mac runs from login on. It also removes the LaunchAgent earlier versions installed.

--install
Open Agent Feed for Mac with delivery on, now and at every login.
--uninstall
Turn the app's delivery off.
--status
Who delivers feedback on this Mac: the app, a terminal, or nothing.

agentfeed reply

agentfeed reply cmt_...|job_... TEXT|@FILE [--job J] [--revision J]

Answers feedback from the app. The owner reads it under their comment. A video's ID alone answers its latest unanswered comment.

--job
The video the comment is on, when this Mac has no record of it.
--revision
A newer video that answers it (job_… or a job folder).

agentfeed deliver

agentfeed deliver JOB

Sends “Video ready” to the session that asked for the video, again.

agentfeed new

agentfeed new [--title T] [--dir PARENT]

Inline mode: creates a job folder for a video the agent makes step by step, and prints its path.

--title
The video's title.
--dir
Where to create the job folder (default ~/.agentfeed/jobs).

agentfeed narrate

agentfeed narrate JOB [--dry-run]

storyboard.json → narration.wav, words.json and timeline.json: Seth's voice (your ElevenLabs key, or Agent Feed voice) and the 3b1b voice score.

--dry-run
Check the storyboard only; no voice is made.

agentfeed render

agentfeed render JOB [--preview]

scene.py → out/final.mp4, 1080×1920 at 60 fps.

--preview
A fast, smaller draft (out/preview.mp4).

agentfeed check

agentfeed check JOB [--video FILE]

The quality verdict (voice, hook, pacing, layout, safe zones, loop), with keyframes.jpg and contact.jpg to look at.

--video
Check another file than out/final.mp4.

agentfeed app

agentfeed app

Opens Agent Feed for Mac, which shows the same videos as this command (both keep them in ~/.agentfeed) and delivers feedback from your phone.

agentfeed crash-report

agentfeed crash-report FILE [--show] [--json]

Sends Agent Feed for Mac's crash report to Agent Feed, as macOS wrote it but with your home folder written as ~. Agent Feed for Mac runs it only when you said yes; nothing is sent with only this Mac.

--show
Print exactly what would be sent, and send nothing.
--json
Print the outcome as JSON (what Agent Feed for Mac reads).

agentfeed doctor

agentfeed doctor

Checks the environment: ffmpeg, cairo, Manim, the narration voice, Claude Code and Codex, and this Mac's link.

Use Agent Feed from a chat agent (MCP)

Agent Feed has an MCP server, so an agent that speaks MCP can list your videos, read your feedback, reply to it, share a video and ask for a new one. It's at https://api.agentfeed.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP), and it signs in as one of your linked Macs. Its six tools:

list_videos
Your latest videos, newest first: title, state, link, and whether you approved them.
get_video
One video: its state, link, length and voice score, and every comment with its delivery and reply.
list_feedback
Your notes on the videos this chat agent asked for, voice notes with their transcripts: they wait for it, and reading them marks them read in the Agent Feed app. With all_videos, also your notes on your other videos.
reply_to_feedback
Answers one of your comments. The answer shows under it in the Agent Feed app.
share_video
Shares a video's link, or makes the video private again, and returns the link.
request_video
Asks Agent Feed Cloud to make a video from a brief (with an optional style: explainer, changelog or concept), on the Cloud plan. The chat agent is the video's author: your notes on it go to that agent, and it makes the next version (with revises) when you ask for changes. The cloud can't see your code, so the brief carries the facts. Without Cloud, it says how to make the video on your Mac instead.

request_video needs the Cloud plan, which isn't open yet. The agent that asks is the video's author: your notes on it wait for that agent, which answers them and makes the next version. A coding agent on a Mac runs agentfeed make --cloud instead: the storyboard is written there, with the session's context, Agent Feed makes the rest, and your notes reach that session.

In Claude Code

On a linked Mac, this adds the server with the Mac's own token, read from the Keychain:

claude mcp add --transport http agentfeed https://api.agentfeed.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer $(security find-generic-password -s agentfeed-device -a https://api.agentfeed.com -w)"

Claude Code keeps that token in its MCP settings, so treat the configuration as a secret: anyone who has it can use Agent Feed as this Mac.

In claude.ai and ChatGPT

Connectors for claude.ai and ChatGPT come next. They'll sign in with OAuth, through your phone number, instead of a Mac's token.

Questions

Does my code leave my Mac?

No. Your own agent makes the video on your Mac. What reaches Agent Feed is the finished video, its title and a few labels (the project, the branch), its progress while it's built, and your feedback. The privacy policy has the details.

What does it cost?

Agent Feed is free during the private beta; prices come with launch (see the plans). Your agent makes each video under your own Claude Code or Codex plan, so it counts toward that plan like any other task. With your own ElevenLabs key, the narration uses your ElevenLabs credits.

How long does a video take?

Usually 15 to 30 minutes. The link works at once and shows each step as it happens, and your agent keeps working on other things meanwhile.

Who can watch my videos?

Only you, until you share a video. Then anyone with its link can watch it, until you stop sharing. Only you can comment.

Do I need the iPhone app?

No. You can watch, comment and share on the web. The app adds notifications, voice notes, and swiping right to approve.

What if my Mac is asleep, or the session is closed?

Your feedback waits until your Mac is back and agentfeed serve picks it up. If the session that made the video is closed, a Claude Code session gets the feedback in a background turn, and Codex through its queue.

Whose voice is it?

Seth, an ElevenLabs voice, paced like 3Blue1Brown's narration. We match that delivery; we don't clone anyone's voice. It uses your ElevenLabs key when you've added one, and Agent Feed voice otherwise.

How do I unlink a Mac, or delete my data?

agentfeed logout unlinks a Mac. To delete everything Agent Feed keeps about you (videos, comments and linked Macs), use Delete Agent Feed data here or in the app's Account screen.

Something isn't working.

Run agentfeed doctor: it checks ffmpeg, cairo, Manim, the narration voice, Claude Code and Codex, and this Mac's link, and says what to fix. During the beta, send us feedback from TestFlight; for anything about your data, write to privacy@agentfeed.com.
